We are still accepting child care registrations for our before-school and after-school care programs. Some child care sites may be full so please check availability by calling 730-4170.

School-Age Before and After Care - Grades K Through 5

The School-Age Child Care program is designed to provide children in kindergarten through fifth grade a safe and exciting place to be during their out-of-school hours. Our program is a state-licensed program. Our enrollment is currently over 300 students.

The goal of the program is to promote the physical, mental, social, and emotional development of each child by providing high-quality child care. Activities include outside play or indoor physical activity, crafts, science, cooking, special projects, clubs, and quiet times. A nutritious snack is provided daily. We view the home, school, community, and child care settings as complementary and interrelated domains that affect children’s growth and development. We keep open lines of communication among all of these groups.

These programs are conveniently located at each school in town: Wentworth School, Pleasant Hill School, Blue Point School, and Eight Corners School.

Please print the K-8 Child Care Registration Form, complete the form, and return to the Community Services Office or the Child Care Building with the non-refundable registration fee of $100. No online registrations are available for child care registrations. Please register in the Community Services Office or Child Care Building.

Club Teen After-School Program

The Club Teen program is designed to provide middle school students a safe and inviting place to be between 2:00 and 6:00 pm. Club Teen is located in the Middle School Cafeteria (and occasionally in the Applied Humanities Room or Narragansett Building) with time and space for homework, recreational activities, clubs, sports, as well as free time. In order for this program to continue to operate, we must maintain a minimum enrollment of 20 students.

Snow days, in-service days, and vacation weeks are included in the above fees for those students currently enrolled in our program. Pre-registration for those days will still be required.

Child Care Billing

* No online registration available for Before and After School Care Programs or Summer Day Camp Programs. Must register in person at the Community Services Office (third floor of the Municipal Building) or at the Bessworth Child Care Building.
