Parks
We oversee the maintenance and construction of many parks and fields
in Scarborough. In addition, we also schedule every sports field in the
town, from school games to outside activities.

Memorial Park at Oak Hill
The Memorial Park is located directly behind the Municipal Building at Oak Hill. The park includes both active and passive recreation opportunities for your enjoyment. The facilities at the park include athletic fields, trails, gazebo, and a pond with a fountain during the warmer months. Please plan on visiting and enjoying this park located in the Oak Hill area of Town.

DIRECTIONS: Off of Route 1, turn onto Sawyer Road. Turn right onto Durant Drive
Scarborough River Wildlife Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is located on the Pine Point Road and overlooks the Scarborough Marsh. There is a small graveled parking area and 52-acres for passive recreation activities with 1.5 miles of walking trails for your enjoyment. Visit to see nature and a wonderful assortment of wildlife adjacent to the marsh.
DIRECTIONS: Located about 1.9 miles down Pine Point Road from Route 1. Turn left into small parking lot.

Springbrook Park
This 9.9 acre recreational area has a full-sized men's softball field, a full-sized Little League softball field, a multi-purpose area, a full concession stand with two handicapped bathrooms, a jogging path around the outside, a playground for children, and two sets of bleachers at each ball field. Also contains four park benches and a parking lot for 75 cars.
DIRECTIONS: Located 2.5 miles down Broadturn Road from Route One. Turn right onto Longmeadow Road – at 195 Broadturn Road.

Jennie & Issac E. Wiley Recreation Area
This recreational area contains a full-sized adult baseball field, a full-sized Little League baseball/softball field, a soccer/football field, a multi-purpose area, a jogging path around the outside, a playground for children, and two sets of bleachers at each ball field. Also has a parking lot for 75 cars.
DIRECTIONS: Located off Pleasant Hill Road. From Route One, turn right onto Pleasant Hill Road (close to South Portland line). Pass Hannaford offices (on right). At four-way stop at top of hill, proceed straight through (fire station is right there on your right). Turn onto first street on left (Tenney Lane). Field is at the very end.

Peterson Field
Peterson Field is located on Old Blue Point Road which can be accessed by turning onto Pine Point Road off of U.S. Route One (in the Dunstan area). Across from the Blue Point School, turn right onto Old Blue Point Road. Field is on the right shortly thereafter/p>
Amenities include three multi-use fields, one Little League regulation-sized baseball field with concession stand, one Little League regulation-sized softball field, one high school regulation-sized softball field, playground equipment, and a walking trail around the perimeter of the complex.
