TOWN OF SCARBOROUGH ADOPTED FY2014 BUDGET
The Scarborough Town Council adopted the FY2014 Budget on May 1, 2013.
PROPOSED ZONING FOR SCARBOROUGH DOWNS & SURROUNDS
The Town Council and Planning Board are considering amendments to the Scarborough Zoning Map and Zoning Ordinance to establish new zoning for the Scarborough Downs property (termed the Crossroads) and adjacent areas along Payne Rd. and to the east. The next meeting at which these changes will be considered is the Planning Board meeting on June 3rd at 7 pm and then a Council public hearing on June 5th at 7 pm, both meetings will be held at Scarborough Town Hall. OAK HILL AND PINE POINT PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS

PUBLIC WORKS NOTICE
TREE TRIMMING NOTICE
Lucas Tree has begun trimming a circuit in Scarborough that starts at the substation on Two Rod Rd. There is currently only one bucket crew on the circuit, but within a few weeks there will be 8-10 bucket crews in Scarborough. The major roads involved are Homes, Beech Ridge, Mitchell, Gorham, and Payne and the associated side streets. Please call 791-1008 with any questions.

CREDIT CARD SERVICES
The Town of Scarborough accepts the following credit cards for payment of service – MasterCard, Discover & Visa. A Service/Convenience Fee will apply to Cardholders who wish to pay via credit card. This fee will be disclosed to the Cardholder prior to the transaction being processed and the Cardholder will be given the option to choose another payment method (cash or check) to avoid this fee.

PACTS
The Town of Scarborough is a member of PACTS (the Transportation Planning Oganization for Greater Portland) and one of the roles of PACTS is to help the region plan for key transportation improvements and investments. The following brochure highlights twenty-three (23) critical transportation investments by the year 2023 that can help maintain and transform the transportation system in Greater Portland.

DUNSTAN CORNER INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IS UNDERWAY
This is a notification to make you aware that the area of Route 1 in the vicinity of the Broadturn, Pine Point and Payne Rd. intersections will be under construction from October 2012 until June 2013. This construction project will make significant improvements to the safety and operation of these intersections, but will at times slow traffic and reduce available lanes. We appreciate your patience and safety during the construction of these improvements.

62-AND OLDER PROPERTY TAX ASSISTANCE REFUNDS
Scarborough adopted a resident 62-and older Resident
Senior Property Tax Assistance Ordinance (pdf). The application
for the program must be filed with the Assessor by October
15th of each tax year. The application form is available. If you have any questions concerning this program,

NEW WEBGIS ONLINE MAPPING APPLICATION
The Town of Scarborough is pleased to announce the release of its new online mapping application. The WebGIS is an interactive map that runs in a web browser and provides the public with geographic data that was not previously accessible to them. Some of the data that is available includes: road centerlines, property lot lines, zoning, utilities, floodplains, water features, contours, and much more.
