INTRODUCTION
The Scarborough Zoning Board of Appeals is charged with hearing and deciding a range of different types of appeals and special exceptions as specified in the Zoning Ordinance. Appeals heard by the Zoning Board include administrative appeals, variance appeals, miscellaneous appeals, limited reduction of yard size appeals, and practical difficulty appeals. Special exception uses are permitted in various zoning districts subject to review and approval by the Zoning Board.
Zoning Board members are appointed by the Town Council and have three year terms.

DEADLINE
Submittal of 10 copies of package is due the 20th of the month before the next agenda. If the 20th falls on a Saturday or Sunday, submittal is due the Friday before.
MEETING DATES
Zoning Board of Appeals meetings are the second Wednesday of each month.
