WELCOME TO THE SCARBOROUGH PURCHASING DIVISION
The Town of Scarborough Purchasing Division is responsible for the purchase and/or contract for all supplies, materials, equipment
and contractual services required by the Town in accordance with the Town's Purchasing Ordinance (pdf).
The procurement process involves the review of departmental requirements,
the preparation of bid and quotation requests, evaluation and
comparison of those responses, and the award and subsequent purchase of
the goods or services. The division considers all factors in order to
maximize the value of the product or service being purchased.
It is the Purchasing Division's duty to encourage full and open competition
whenever practicable among potential contractors and suppliers by
competitive bidding practices, to centralize purchasing and contracting
to realize the economies resulting therefrom, and to seek maximum
value for every tax dollar expended.
The Town of Scarborough has always strived to do business in a fair and
professional manner with all of its contractors, and suppliers, and
will continue to do so.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Town of Scarborough is pleased to announce the launching
of its new Vendor Self Service web portal.
What is Vendor Self Service?
The Vendor Self Service web portal provides vendors with a single entry
point to register on the Town of Scarborough's vendor database. Within
this database, registered vendors can identify the commodities/services
that their company provides, scan for open bid opportunities, respond
to solicitations, and receive bid amendments as well as notifications
of awards.
Registered vendors will also be able to view bid history and browse
awards (pending and completed) as well as make inquiries into their
own accounts.

The Town of Scarborough will post a PRELIMINARY bid tabulation within 2 business days of the advertised bid opening. The information on the PRELIMINARY
bid tabulation will be posted as it was read and prepared during the
bid opening. The Town makes no guarantee as to the accuracy of any
information on the PRELIMINARY tabulation. A FINAL bid tabulation will be posted on the website after contact award.
