Tony Attardo is the EMS Director of the Scarborough Rescue. Tony joined the Scarborough Rescue as a call member in 1986. In 1988, Tony became a full time paramedic for the Scarborough Rescue. Prior to becoming a full time paramedic, Tony was an industrial arts instructor at Mt. Blue Junior High School and Massabesic Junior High School. A graduate of Scarborough High School, Tony earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial education from the University of Southern Maine.

In 1991, Tony became the first full time leader of the Scarborough Rescue. The EMS Director is responsible for the full time staff, per diem EMT's, call company members, student rescue members and 3 advanced life support ambulances.
