Scarborough Student Rescue

Membership requirements

The following membership requirements have been established for all potential student rescue candidates. In September of each academic school year, an announcement shall be made and posted to the student body of Scarborough High School that applications are being accepted from juniors.

The Student Rescue Committee will hold a meeting for all interested juniors. The committee shall present the overall goals and expectations for the program. Applications will be provided for all interested juniors.

Minimum age of 16 years old

Junior in Scarborough High School

The student must maintain a grade of 78 or higher in all of their high school classes in order to remain active in the program.

Full parental permission

Demonstrate emotional maturity and good school citizenship

Compassion for human life

Membership shall be limited to 7 juniors and 7 seniors.

All Student Rescue candidates shall proceed through the hiring process as established by the Town of Scarborough.
